The Swedes have worked hard to incorporate nature into the demands of modern society. This is reflected in architecture, city planning, dining of gourmet standard and accessibility of nature. The Nordic countries are ever-growing in popularity, with Stockholm and Sweden being a must for the nature lover as well as the sophisticated traveller. Browse our trips to Sweden today.

More about Trips to Sweden & Holiday Packages
Holidays in Sweden can get a lot done, from attractions and sights from the Northern Lights viewed from Tree Hotel to great City Breaks in Stockholm, Gothenburg or Helsingborg.
If you haven’t been to Sweden, then a short break to Stockholm is a great place to start. It is truly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Built on 14 islands with 50 bridges, the city blends natural and architectural beauty together with history and modern culture, to provide a memorable experience for visitors to this city of archipelagos. Today, there is even an Abba Museum for those of us who love their history and music.
From winter breaks to summer holidays in Sweden: this city has a vibrant and diverse population and a range of entertainments to satisfy even the most discerning traveller. The Stockholm Archipelago, made up from nearly 30,000 islands, provides you with all the essentials for a year-round adventure: Cosy cabins and guesthouses, we recommend staying in the Lapland Lodge, surrounded by nature, sea and wildlife with an abundance of activities for the whole family.
When you visit Stockholm you can enjoy the Nordic atmosphere and Stockholm City Centre with the Gamal Stan (Old Town) and its amazing Architecture. Try a Stockholm Weekend Break. Should you wish to extend your stay or travel to see the outstanding Northern Lights in North Sweden, Baltic Travel Company can tailor make your Sweden Winter Holiday.
Why not combine Stockholm with a visit to the island of Gotland? A short flight or ferry ride will connect you to Visby, where you can explore this charming town, an historic centre of the Hanseatic League, beautiful beaches and see why Ingmar Bergman lived and made films on Gotland, Sweden’s largest island and home to some 57,000 people.
Sweden is also a winter destination, which features the original Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi and an excellent ski resort in Are, which has become a regular stop on the World Cup ski racing circuit. There are also plenty of opportunities for winter activities beyond the Arctic Circle, such as dog sledding, snow shoeing and snow mobile rides. Sweden tours in Swedish Lapland is still a hidden gem compared to Finnish Lapland, so you should visit this remote region in search of the last true wilderness of Scandinavia.
Throughout the winter season, you may take a trip where you can see the Northern lights in Sweden. The further north, the better and the clearer the skies; these amazing Lights can appear in a rainbow of colours across the night sky.
Winter trips to Sweden are increasingly in demand and can be tailor-made as part of a Stockholm weekend break, with a Stockholm City break, Stockholm Attractions with the stylish Stockholm City centre as a backdrop.
Don't wait, call us. At Christmas time we can also recommend Christmas Markets in Stockholm where you can enjoy cinnamon swirls and Glogg, the Swedish form for Vin Chaud and mulled wine to stay warm, while exploring this great Nordic city.
Take a look at some of our suggested itineraries or contact us and and we can tailor Sweden holidays to match your interests, whether you Visit Stockholm or outside, possibly Gothenburg, with equally stylish design hotels and gourmet Nordic Cuisine.
We know Sweden and we will take you there.

Dear Daina,
We had a wonderful holiday.
Gothenburg was nice but the weather was a bit grey and rainy. We enjoyed a museum and the Liseberg theme park. Then UTO was just magical! Very lucky with sunny weather. We swam every day from stunning beaches. Stockholm was also beautiful and we loved the Vasa museum. But UTO was definitely the highlight! Our water taxi was wonderful.
Both Scandic hotels were very comfortable. We had a problem in Stockholm but they responded quickly and upgraded our room.
Thank you for organising it. The only bad bit was the long train - no refreshments and it would have been good to have booked seats. (Oh and Sweden is SO expensive!) Otherwise excellent.
Thanks
Clare

Inga,
Thanks for your email. We had a wonderful holiday both in Norway and Sweden. Unfortunately, it was not long enough. The entire guided tour in Norway was excellent with a very professional and caring guide.
Hotels in all locations were good too. I believe we made a very good choice. Weather was bonus too.

Dear Daina
Thank you for enquiring. We have had such a lovely holiday and enjoyed it all and of course the weather has been perfect for us.
Hotels all good except may be the last hotel in Bergan -the Scandic Ornen. Looking on to a car park at eye level and a window which did not open but great location.
All other experiences went well and tours with plenty of time for our own time and we were very lucky with the size of our group. We found it interesting that people came and went at different times and places but it works well.
Favourite hotel and situation was the Kviknes hotel in Balestrad.

Hello Julija
Thank you for following up with us. We had one of the best holidays we have ever had. The destination was lovely, the people friendly, the food excellent and the excursions were spectacular. We added the dog sleding to our snow shoe walking and snow mobile tour. The weather was challenging but that was nature and yesterday when we left blue skies came out. The only thing we missed was the Aurora Borealis but we will have to pursue that another time.
All your arrangements were as smooth as clockwork - congratulations and thank you very much!
All the best and thanks so much again.
Kind regards
Colleen
